Privacy Act Statement
The SEC FOIA Request Portal allows you to submit and track the status of your FOIA and Privacy Act (PA) requests. Collection of information by the portal is authorized by the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. § 552).  The SEC collects the minimally required personally identifiable information (PII) from you for the purpose of providing the requested service. The principal purposes for which the SEC will use the information requested are to create an account for you and to track, process, and respond to requests that you submit to the SEC through your account.  Apart from disclosures made in accordance with System of Record Notice (SORN)
